“No More Plastic Pollution — The Time to Act is Now!”
After listening to today’s speech, it felt like these words are something we all need to know. Each of us in our families uses plastic every day — plastic that cannot be decomposed even in 500 years. This issue is not only severe, but it is also a threat to both our present and future generations. Diseases like cancer and many other deadly illnesses have already made our lives miserable, and it seems the situation may get even worse. Even the water bottles we drink from are no longer safe.
Let us begin from our own homes.
Let’s eliminate the use of plastic bottles, plates, bowls, glasses, and all other plastic crockery from our households.
If we start using cloth bags for shopping, the use of plastic bags will definitely decrease. Because of polythene, microplastics are entering our bodies even through fish. Rivers, canals, seas, ponds, water reservoirs, and drains — all are being harmed.
Unknowingly, we are pushing future generations toward destruction.
